Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Steven Sanders is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in joint preservation and replacement. Since 1995, Dr. Sanders has performed over 7,000 knee, shoulder, and hip surgeries in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He also sees patients in his Irving and Southlake offices, caring for patients in Greater DFW, North Tarrant and Denton County areas. He continues to advance his expertise in the latest arthroscopic and orthopedic techniques by participating and presenting at training sessions for surgeons.
Dr. Sanders’ specialty is in providing patients with non-surgical and surgical options to relieve joint pain and regain mobility from injuries and arthritis. He often repairs joint injuries with arthroscopic techniques, but sometimes patients may require minimally invasive open repairs to ensure less disruption of tissues and muscles.
Dr. Sanders earned his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Science Center and completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Louisville. His Fellowship training was at the Texas Center for Joint Replacement. Fellowship training is advanced training for select surgeons in specific procedures, allowing them to advance their knowledge and skills. Surgeons receiving Fellowship training are recognized as leaders in their respective areas.
Dr. Sanders’ passion to stay at the forefront of joint replacement for knees, hips, and shoulders resulted in his being recognized by peers in D Magazine as one of Dallas’ top orthopedic surgeons. A native of Lubbock, TX, he enjoys spending time with his family along with golfing, hunting, and traveling.
